An IWAD or Internal WAD houses information such as visual display and environment setup for the world. In order for any Doom based engine to work properly, it must have the proper assigned IWAD file. Furthermore, the table below will display all of the IWAD's that Zandronum can support. Keep in mind that the filename of the file does not truly matter, but the contents within the file is important. For example, 'DOOM.WAD' can be changed to 'UDooM.wad' or even 'Doomiwad.wad', Zandronum will still open the file regardless of its name. However, if the file was internally modified, Zandronum may not be able to detect the file properly.
