This article documents a Zandronum-specific ACS feature which may not be supported by ZDoom and its other child ports.
This article documents an ACS function which is only available in development builds of Zandronum 3.2 and newer.

int AddBot ([str name[, int team]]) (development version 3.2-alpha and above only)

Usage

Adds a bot to the game.

Parameters

  • name: The name of the bot to be added, as defined in BOTINFO. If this is unspecified or empty, a random bot will be added.
  • team: The team to add the bot to. If this is unspecified, the bot will be added to a random team.

Return value

Returns 1 if the bot was added successfully, or 0 on error (e.g. no bot with the given named is defined, an invalid team was given, or the map disables bot nodes).
